The Scaramus is a large double-walled tent designed for year-round use. Its regular octagonal structure makes it easy to set up and gives it great resistance against bad weather. Equipped with eight ground anchor points and eight guylines, its round shape and central pole ensure excellent stability in the wind, whatever its direction. In addition, its top ventilation system effectively reduces condensation, and the hat can be removed to further optimize ventilation.
The "Duo" version includes an innertent occupying half of the interior space and able to accommodate 2 people. This gives a very large vestibule that can accommodate a lot of equipment (bicycles, seats, ultralight wood stove, etc.)

Rainfly options
Ultralight fabric : -140gChanges the standard fabric (silpoly 30D) for an ultralight fabric with high resistance/weight ratio (silnylon 20D sil/sil 2.500mm). Wind and weather resistance remains similar. In wet weather, the silnylon may stretch slightly. This remains insensitive if the rainfly was well tensed from the start. If necessary, increasing the height of the pole by a few cm allows the rainfly to be tightened. Durable, but will require a little more care than 30D silpoly.

This ultra-light stove jack allows you to use a suitable wood stove in your tent.

Changes the windproof yellow fabric for mosquito netting. Recommended for use in warm countries.
Ultralight ground fabric -100g
Changes the ground fabric (silnylon 30D PU 5.000mm) for ultralight silpoly 20D PU 4000mm fabric. It saves weight, but you will need to be gentle and/or use it with an extra footprint. Reinforced ground fabric +90g
Changes the ground fabric (silnylon 30D PU 5.000mm) for ultra durable Nylon 70D PU 10.000mm fabric. This fabric can be used on almost any kind of ground without extra footprint.
Accessories Stakes : 185g

Assembly of two trekking poles :
The required length of the central pole is 185cm. We advise to use two strong trekking poles strapped together with the included webbing. This solution is the lightest and very resistant : instuctions here (pdf) .

2 separate carrying bags :
This option allows you to get 2 separate bags instead of a single one: one for the rainfly and one for the innertent.

Pitching The octagonal shape makes setup easy: simply spread the rainfly on the ground, make a square with 4 opposite attachment points and then put the intermediate points. Then all that remains is to put the central pole to erect the tent. All attachments are adjustable to optimize the tension.
The innertent is placed in a second step, from the inside.
